Outreach and Education Trainer

ROSMY is seeking a full time Community Outreach and Education Trainer.  The premier organization providing support, education, advocacy and opportunities for Virginia’s gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth, ROSMY serves to ensure Virginia’s sexual minority youth an equal opportunity for success.

ROSMY is in search of a well organized and highly motivated self-starter to launch our new Community Outreach and Education Program.  This program serves to provide fee-for-service training to youth and family service providers across Virginia in order to build a network of safe and supportive resources for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth.  The qualified candidate will demonstrate skills in marketing, sales and training of a comprehensive curriculum.  Success will be dependent upon their ability to build community relationships, partner with human service agencies, identify and address current trends in the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth population.

Qualifications include a BS/BA degree in a social services or education related field  with 2 – 3 years of experience in training and/or public health education.  This is a base salary + commission position that provides exceptional health benefits in addition to great growth potential as the program develops.  Clean criminal history and driving record with reliable transportation is required.
